Shine FM's mast was damaged during the storm last week (Sat 14th Jan). We are currently off air for maintenance and hope to be back broadcasting within the next few days.

If you're a young person and you're living in or around Banbridge - we need your help!

We need people to:
      - help with the website:
                    - Help us find events
                    - Write about local events after they've happened
                    - Write reviews of cds, books, or anything else you can think of.
      - and with the radio shows:
                    - Present shows* (training will be provided!)
                    - Present podcasts (or write them if you don't want to talk).

We need help coming up with articles and especially with events - we want to know what's going on at your church/youth club/school so that we can promote it here on the Shine Fresh website, and also on the shows (Tues, Wed & Thurs 7pm - 9pm on 102.4 Shine FM, broadcasting in the Banbridge area). So if there's anything you think other young people in the Banbridge area would be interested in, get in touch using the "contact" form (< menu on the left)

*You must be aged 14 to 18 to present live radio shows with Shine Fresh.

So - things have been a bit hectic this week - the Wednesday and Thursday night shows have been recorded to allow James and myself (Andrew) to take part in a three-day broadcast in northwest Northern Ireland - check out www.rvcr.info to see what's been going on.

Because of this, we're a bit behind with the calendar we promised on tonight's (recorded) show. Also, if you actually plan to use the calendar, possibly a good idea to add "Mother's Day" to 10th May and "Father's Day" to 14th June. Sorry to all parents everywhere for missing those dates.

We've finally managed to upload the first Shine Fresh "podcast" to our site. James' interview with Casting Crowns should be over on the left-hand side of the screen somewhere. You may have heard it when we played it on Shine FM back in November. We hope to upload a few more interviews in the coming weeks, so keep checking back for updates, and we hope to have a proper podcast up and running early in the new year.
